Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Life at Tixover House Care Home
Our hats
Today we decided to wear hats, for no particular reason, and it felt nice!
National biscuit day
On national biscuit day we tried all our favourites at Tixover House. We remembered the ones we ate at Granny's house, or at children's parties. Did we ever decide whether these are cakes or biscuits?
Pre-wedding party
Sam's family came in for a pre-wedding party for his son. We all enjoyed cake and tot of whisky to wash it down. Congratulations from everyone at Tixover House.
A thankful day
Today at Tixover House we discussed what we were thankful for. It turned out most of us appreciate the simple things - care, people, a cup of tea and a chat.
Sensory experiences
Today we had lots of sensory activities. General Manager, Ive, danced with residents to their favourite music. There was tea tasting, touching knitted items and other textures, and smelling some essential oils. It was a fun and stimulating session at Tixover House.
Monday haircuts
Hairdresser, Charlie, is at Tixover House every Monday to make sure residents are all perfectly trimmed, washed and set.
