Activities at Tixover House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Caroline Geddes
Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.
I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives. My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Life at Tixover House Care Home
Volunteers' Week
Tixover House accommodated volunteers from Cummins Inc in Peterborough, who were given a special thank you during Volunteers' Week. They came to the home and completed work on the garden areas, including painting fences, painting the summer house for the residents, tidying all the flower beds and planting new plants to ensure that the residents had a wonderful view and could spend more time in their beautiful summer house.
Easter Donations
We took some Easter eggs to the food bank in Stamford, all of which were kindly donated by residents, loved ones and staff members. Staff at the food bank were overwhelmed by the generous gifts.
Easter Celebrations
It was time to dust off and decorate our bonnets ready for the Easter parade and egg hunt.
Birthday Boy
We recently wished Resident Ambassador, Peter, and happy birthday. He had a great day surrounded be friends, family, staff members and fellow residents.
Pebble Painting
We painted pebbles for some nice paper weights and ornaments. It was a relaxing and creative arts and crafts session.
Baking Fun
Cakes and sandwiches were made in Memory Lane with the help of Marie. Tasting our creations was the best bit!
