Activities at Tyspane Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Getting the Residents Moving

Getting the Residents Moving

Our physiotherapy therapy team love a challenge; Tyspane can offer a daily programme of intensive physiotherapy to aid recovery from accidents, strokes and other physically challenging conditions.

Rob Hopkins, Physiotherapist, and Babs Spear, Physio Assistant, have risen to the challenge recently for a married couple with completely different physical disabilities, who are pictured above completing their daily routine with Rob.

Babs also runs weekly physio classes for all the residents at the home.

Taking a Dive

Taking a Dive

Care Practitioner, Abi, and one of her oldest friends, Paul, would like to raise £1000 for the North Devon Hospice by throwing themselves out of a plane at 1500 ft; not only to honour her husband, Barrie's, memory but to make sure that this incredible charity can continue to make such a difference to people’s lives and enable them to continue the amazing work that they do.

Abi is pictured with Tyspane, resident, Mrs Lusty, who is one of the many people that she cares for at the home.
