Activities at Wadhurst Manor Care Home
On a weekly basis we have many visitors to the home from the people like the University of the Third age and local small animal farms, who bring in their chickens and sheep. We also like to go out shopping and on day trips to local garden centres and when the weather is good picnics and tours of the beautiful local countryside. We have speciality days at the home which could be a theme of a country, or for specific times of year, including Halloween, Bonfire Night or Christmas. We have card games and art classes and a serious knitting team in the home who produce blankets and premature baby clothes for the local maternity unit.

Hi, my name is Zoe and I am the Activities Lead at Wadhurst Manor.
I used to work with veterans for the Royal British Legion, and as an Art Studio Lead for a wonderful charity that built a village for people with learning disabilities.
I believe in the healing power of art, I feel strongly about building confidence and the wellness of our residents. My hobbies include Asian art and philosophy, acupuncture, yoga and martial arts. I believe art is a bridge that unites everyone no matter the race, beliefs or religion.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wadhurst Manor Care Home
A Trip to Bewl Water
Our activities team took advantage of some good weather and took the residents on a trip in our mini bus to Bewl Water. Of course, tea and cake were involved as well.
Employee of the Month
Lavinia was voted Employee of the Month for June by her peers. Well done, Lavinia!
Vi's Birthday - 103 Years Young
The lovely Violet celebrated her 103rd birthday with a gorgeous cake made especially to her liking by our Chef. Happy birthday, Vi - and here's to many more!
Care Home Open Day
Wadhurst Manor's theme for this year's Care Home Open Day was a 'Street Party in Celebration of our Queen's 90th Birthday.'
Valentine's Day Tea Dance
We had a wonderful afternoon tea dance in celebration of Valentine's Day with live music, dancing, wonderful cakes, bubbly and endless tea. Residents, relatives and staff all joined in for a very lively afternoon.
Celebrating Burn's Night
A special supper of haggis and a poetry reading took place at Wadhurst Manor to celebrate Burn's Night. Some of our residents joined our activities team in dressing for the occasion.
