Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

A trip to the Pub

Who doesn't like a cheeky Pub Lunch trip out and some time with nature?!? The Ducks sure were hungry too!

Trip to Italy

Residents enjoyed our little trip to Italy today! We had beautiful Italian music, Italian delicacies and of course red wine from Sicily. We were also lucky enough to have our very own Italian speaker Marianna who taught us some Italian phrases.

The return of Zoolab

Residents loved handling a range of exotic animals (albeit a little apprehensive to start), and learning some interesting facts about their nature, habitat and lifestyle.

WI visits Werrington Lodge

The lovely ladies from the WI joined some of our residents this morning and provided an amazing craft session, including hessian bags and some very intricate Indian Stamps to create some lovely designs on the bags to keep. It was a great crafty morning with a memento to keep.

Banjo Man Returns

Back by popular demand, we were lucky enough to have Sean Moyses performing with his Banjo’s! The residents absolutely love his music, his interaction, and his passion. What a fun filled afternoon!

Big Birthday Celebrations

We had the amazing honour of celebrating our lovely resident Alice’s 103rd Birthday! What an incredible milestone! She had friends and family around her wishing her a very Happy Birthday along with balloons, Banners and of course Cake!
