Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Kala Rai from the care team who is this month's White Lodge employee of the month. Kala is a real team player, who has been very flexible and taken on more hours recently. With her wonderful smile and positive approach she is amazing with the residents - thank you for all you do at White Lodge.
Happy Birthday Shelia
White Lodge make every resident's birthday a special event, Shelia was delighted with her personalised cake made by the White Lodge catering team and everyone greatly enjoyed a slice with a cup of tea.
Live Music for New Year's Eve
Residents enjoyed celebrating New Year's Eve with some live music from Andy Yapp. There was toe tapping and clapping along to some popular tunes as we all had a drink to toast the start of 2022
Snowball Fight!
White Lodge have really had a wonderful Christmas as we go into a new year we thought you would enjoy the photos of some of our festive fun and games. Thank you so much to Carl for being our snowman for the snowball fight! Kathie dressed up as Santa deliver gifts to the maintenance team who were very touched. What a giggle everyone had and we look forward to tonights celebrations as we enter 2022.
Lockdown Brass Perform at White Lodge
Thank you so much to the members of Lockdown Brass for the wonderful Christmas Carol concert on Christmas Eve. Thank you also for braving the weather, the residents absolutely loved the performance. There is a lovely story behind the group, they formed during the Covid lockdown to enable the members to continue playing.
White Lodge Donate Hampers to Purton Age Concern
Just before Christmas Barchester White Lodge donated hampers to Purton & District Age Concern. These hampers were distributed by volunteers from Age Concern to older people in the local community. Tina set the elves to work putting together the beautifully presented hampers ready to be delivered. They looked wonderful and we are sure will have bought a smile to those who received them. Thank you to Peter Berry who is Chairman of Purton and District Age Concern for all that you do to support older people in the area.

Shake, Rattle & Roll to Hethersett Hall for a 1950s celebration at our annual summer fete on Friday 26th July 2-4pm. Classic Cars, Buffet, Concert and Dress Up all happening!
