Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
'Picture perfect' Vintage Tea Party
Sue and Charlotte from Wootton Bassett Town Council were guests of honour at our vintage tea party at White Lodge. Sue commented that the beautiful 'high tea' rivaled the afternoon tea she had in a 5* London hotel! Praise indeed for our chef Sorin, who created an array of freshly baked fruit scones, macaroons and other sweet treats. The residents had an amazing time with sounds from the 50's adding to the ambience.
Supporting 'Carers Support Wiltshire' at Savernake Hospital
Jessa and Tina from White Lodge visited Savernake Hospital in Marlborough today to show their support and discuss the outstanding services offered by Barchester Healthcare. They were supporting Carers Support Wiltshire and the NHS team for the 25th anniversary of Carers Week.
Canal boat trip revisited
With such an amazing response to the last canal boat trip we planned another one! The residents were looking forward to their day out on the river and donned captain hats especially.
Canal Boat Trip
The residents enjoyed a fantastic canal boat trip along with a beautiful picnic made by our chef. A special thanks to the Rotary Club for helping to organise this. a return trip has already been arranged!
Grand National Fun Day at White Lodge
Great costumes worn by the activity team certainly bought a smile to the faces of the residents, Mayor, Councillor Mike farrow and all who attended the Open day at White Lodge.
