Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Swindon Carers Choir sing for White Lodge
Many thanks to Swindon Carers Choir who visited White Lodge today. Fabulous vocals that had residents on their feet and dancing along!
Bollywood dancing at White Lodge
The term Bollywood was created by combining two names, Bombay (the city now called Mumbai) and Hollywood. Bollywood based in Mumbai (Bombay), is India’s – and the world’s - largest film industry in terms of the number of films produced and the residents of White Lodge welcomed their very own taste of Bollywood this week with the fantastic Shaheen.
Looking after our emergency services at White Lodge
It was lovely to meet Stewart and Mark from the Ambulance service today and welcome them to White Lodge where they enjoyed a slice of home made cake and a cup of coffee made by our resident ambassador. Emergency services are welcome anytime to take a break with us at White Lodge and can be assured of a warm welcome!
Successful Summer Fete at White Lodge
The sun was shining on the White Lodge Summer Fete on Saturday. Crowds of people enjoyed Chloe's mobile farm, the many stalls and of course the fantastic Majorettes who performed for all the guests, residents and staff. With great entertainment, classic cars and a BBQ as well as cake stall there was something for everyone!
Baking fun at White Lodge
The residents put their baking skills to the test today and had great fun making chocolate pin wheels. This tasty recipe included cinnamon and a lot of chocolate! perfect to be enjoyed at tea time.
Residents shopping and coffee trip
The residents enjoyed a trip into the local town today for a coffee in the local coffee shop followed by some retail therapy!
