Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
Donna Chalcroft sings at White Lodge
The residents and staff had a fantastic time singing and dancing to a medley of songs sang by the fantastic Donna Chalcroft. Memory lane lounge was full to capacity, it was standing (or should I say dancing) room only!
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, promoting movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!

Knit and Natter at White Lodge with the WI
A weekly event at White Lodge, the extremely popular Knit and Natter group. Residents, staff and visitors come together over a pot of tea and a selection of sweet treats to work on their 'project blanket'. A blanket being created by a joint effort to be donated to the Prospect Hospice to raise funds. Many thanks to the WI for their support. If you are an avid knitter please come along and join us!
Caring for Carers Pamper day
Our way of saying thank you to all the carers in the community, the White Lodge pamper day was a great success. With nail care and facials and a cream tea, everyone who attended had a fabulous time. Many thanks to everyone who came along.
'Picture perfect' Vintage Tea Party
Sue and Charlotte from Wootton Bassett Town Council were guests of honour at our vintage tea party at White Lodge. Sue commented that the beautiful 'high tea' rivaled the afternoon tea she had in a 5* London hotel! Praise indeed for our chef Sorin, who created an array of freshly baked fruit scones, macaroons and other sweet treats. The residents had an amazing time with sounds from the 50's adding to the ambience.
Supporting 'Carers Support Wiltshire' at Savernake Hospital
Jessa and Tina from White Lodge visited Savernake Hospital in Marlborough today to show their support and discuss the outstanding services offered by Barchester Healthcare. They were supporting Carers Support Wiltshire and the NHS team for the 25th anniversary of Carers Week.
