Activities at Woodside House
Our activities team deliver a wide variety of mentally and physically stimulating activities and events for those we support, including coffee afternoons, which we hold every month for the local community, regular outings in our minibus, and visits from entertainers and musicians. Monthly resident meetings help us to ensure that those living here are getting the most out of our activities programme, and that our social events reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible. From growing our own vegetables to making giant paper-mâché animals, there is always something fun going on at Woodside House.
Sam Lake
My name is Sam and I lead our Activities Team at Woodside House.
I have been at Woodside House since 2004 and I love it here. I am responsible for ensuring that the residents are able to participate in sociable, fun and rewarding activities. My team and I are very passionate about our work and love putting smiles on the residents' faces.
We involve the residents in the planning of our activity calendars and encourage residents to continue with the hobbies that they have enjoyed throughout their lives. We will support every resident to try new things and we love learning from our residents every day.

Life at Woodside House Care Home
A trip to the library
Here Woodside, our residents love a good book and a ride in the minibus, so, we thought we'd combine the two. We took our ladies on a mini bus outing to the city of Norwich library. The ladies had a lovely day and enjoyed picking their own books.
Our favourite entertainer returns!
Here at Woodside House, we always look forward to a visit from Elvis! Residents love singing along and all the interaction. Even resident's families come along to watch!
Alpaca Visit
Here at Woodside House, we have had a lovely visit from Bumblebee Farm's alpacas. Residents were able to feed them carrots and pet them. This visit was loved by all, and we can't wait to welcome them back again soon.
Christmas Pamper Session
Here at Woodside House, our ladies have enjoyed a lovely Christmas pampering session. The ladies are so pleased with their festive nail’s, all ready for Christmas.
Getting ready for Christmas
We are all feeling very Christmassy here at Woodside House. We have been putting up and decorating our christmas trees, and had a festive mini bus outing.

Here at Woodside House, our fabulous activities team love to team up with our hostess to offers refreshments to all of our residents.
