Activities at Worplesdon View Care Home

Activities at Worplesdon View

The activities team at Worplesdon View organise and run activities and events for large groups, small groups and individual residents. We include relatives, volunteers and the remaining staff whenever possible and encourage choice and participation from everyone we support. Our programme is planned in advance and is is designed provide tailored, meaningful activities for residents to participate in that will stimulate all senses, whist encouraging mental and physical well-being. We have an activity plan for all residents, and of course, this changes with the needs of each person to keep it up-to-date and useful. Worplesdon View is a fun and dynamic place to live and work, and the secret to this is that everyone is encouraged to see activities as part of their role in the home so that residents are happy and always have something to do.

Remembrance Day

For our residents at Worplesdon View, it is very important that we keep the memories of those who fought alive. This year, to celebrate that day, our residents compiled all the colourings sent by one our local schools. Residents also had the chance of enjoying an indoor picnic.

Bonfire Night

Our residents enjoyed a good night sitting around our bonfire savouring some lovely marshmallows with a nice cup of hot chocolate, whilst relishing our own fireworks.

Halloween Crafts

Our residents love to be creative. They decided that a good way to do that was to make a scarecrow to celebrate Halloween, and this is the final product.

Autumn Crafts

We love to celebrate the seasons here at Worplesdon View. With the arrival of the autumn, our residents created their own frame with some leaves they have picked from our garden. Everyone enjoyed this session!

Flower Power

Residents had the chance the create some wreaths with some flowers from our garden. These were then donated to our local church as a message of hope and joy during these unprecedented times.
