Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Grace Santos who was nominated as Registered Nurse Of The Year at the Barchester Care Awards.
Grace has worked at Alice Grange for almost 15 years and is a great support to everyone is always approachable and has a very infectious laugh.
We are so proud of you and all you do for Staff, Residents and their Families.
To us, you truly are our Amazing Grace.
Residents to a trip to 'Participate'
Participate is a community group in Suffolk. A relaxed and fun music and heritage workshop for adults in Suffolk exploring objects and music with their friendly team of workshop leaders.
We took some of our residents to a group called Participate who are part of Britten Pears Arts group.
These sessions are aimed to bring you together with others in your local community, providing an opportunity to take part in activities and connect over tea and cake. Sessions last for two hours and tea and cake is provided. No musical experience is necessary.
This was so well-liked and discussed amongst our residents that they look forward to their next visit.
Johnny Cash Tribute Jax and Co
We welcomed this delightful duo to Alice Grange. Our residents ask for many entertainers all of different kinds who delight us with many songs from the past.
Jax and Co are local based and the residents feedback was phenomenal. Music is something of a personal taste but everyone was foot tapping hand clapping and singing along to the famous songs that so many of us know. With request like “A Boy named Sue” “I Walk the line “and “Ring of Fire”
Visit from The Mayor at our Open day
We welcomed Councillor Mayor Lynn Mortimer Councillor John Fisher and Dan Cobbett Civic Secretary to our Open Day at Alice Grange.
Our home was a hive of activity with live entertainment from Nick Brown. Our residents and their families along with a flow of visitors enjoyed the music and talking to staff while enjoying a finger buffet made by our Chef Titus.
The Mayor and Councillor John Fisher cut the ribbon to our new cafe area which in the future we will be holding regular monthly community coffee mornings and we look forward to welcoming more visitors to our lovely home.
Woodbridge Museum and Long shed Educational visit
Our residents are really enjoying the visit to Woodbridge Museum and Long Shed this is always a very educational trip and it just shows you are never too old to learn something. All displays tell the story of Woodbridge and its surrounding area by focussing on the lives of a selection of people from Tudor times to present day.
The museum is set in Woodbridge Quay and has lovely walks along the river. We took a short walk along the River Deben and ended our trip with refreshments in the lovely weather.
Enjoying a cup of coffee
We are fortunate enough to live opposite The Farmhouse public house and what better way than to spend a morning socialising over a coffee or favourite tipple. Our Residents really enjoy the social aspect of going for a short walk to the local pub.
