Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Alice Grange Care Home
Croquet in our garden
What a lovely day for our residents to enjoy some croquet! They had a lot of fun and laughter as they showed off their skills and challenged each other. Croquet is a great way to stay active and social, as it involves both strategy and coordination. We are so proud of our ladies for their enthusiasm and spirit!
There is no better friend than a sister!
We recently took a trip to Dobbies Garden centre in Woodbridge.
There was lots of fun and laughter followed by a refreshing beverage in the café.
Sylvia is staying at Alice Grange for a few weeks respite, her sister Margaret has lived here for a number of years and the love and laughter between these two is pure magic.
Celebrating the King's Coronation
We had a great time at Alice Grange today! We celebrated the Coronation of King Charles with fun activities and music. Everyone joined in the quizzes, singing and dancing. The ice cream van was a big hit too! Look at the line of happy people waiting for their treats! What a wonderful day to remember!
Trip To Felixstowe
The weather held up enough today for a trip to Felixstowe.
Residents enjoyed the scenery, sunny weather, reading the history of the town before stopping of in a local cafe for a hot drink and a cake. Residents (and staff) had a lovely day, and we can't wait to go again.
Suffolk Food Hall
Alice Grange staff and residents made the most of the sunny weather today at the Suffolk Food Hall. Browsing the local produce and delicious homemade cakes, before stopping for lunch and enjoying the stunning views across the river.
Barchester's Easter Cake Competition
Our residents loved to be part of the Barchester's Easter Cake Competition. As Barbara said: ''Easter is a colorful time'', we tried to make our cake as colorful as possible. Many thanks to everyone, and the staff that was really helpful.
Upcoming events
Our Monthly Pudding Club
On the last Tuesday of each month we host our themed pudding club, providing a variety of delicious home made bakes and treat for everyone. Come along for free to see more.
Elf Day 2024
We celebrate Elf Day on Wednesday 4th December. Come in dressed up as an elf and join in the fun with staff and residents at Alice Grange
Santa's Coming to Town
On Saturday 7th December the big man himself will be at Alice Grange as we open up our Christmas Santa's Grotto.
Christmas Jumper Day
Get your Christmas jumpers out and ready for Thursday 12th December as we all dress up for the day at work.
Christmas Pudding Club
Join us on Tuesday 17th December from 3pm for a special festive themed Pudding Club to finish the year off in style.
Christmas Party
Join us on Monday 23rd December as we get fully into the spirt of Christmas with a big Christmas Party in the home. Everyone's invited!
