Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Alice Grange Care Home
Toys & Materials
''Toys and materials'' theme today for Namaste trolley on memory lane. Patricia and Norma had fun experimenting with the materials and the animal toys. It is a great sensory tool that our residents love to see weekly.
Unscene Suffolk
We are happy we had the chance to see and listen the group for Unscene Suffolk. Our residents are happy that with this donation the group can cover their travel costs beyond Ipswich.

Enjoying the Sunshine
A few of the ladies here at Alice Grange decided to enjoy some Spring Sunshine. The ladies joined our resident Margaret to feed the birds, and have a nice morning walk as the weather was really nice. The ladies enjoyed spending good quality time in the garden - It truly does wonders for the soul.
Yoga at Woodbridge Community Hall
Amy from Cohere arts invited us to join yoga at Woodbridge Community Hall, where residents enjoyed socialising with new people, doing exercises and having a nice warm cup of tea/coffee and biscuits at the end.
Cohere Arts recieves a donation from Barchester
Cohere Arts is a community interest company providing opportunities for communities to engage with arts. Barchester donated £600 for the Cohere Arts Community. Also, Amy was happy to come around the care home and talk with the residents about cohere community and do 30 minutes yoga with the residents.
A visit from Children
The children from NCS came along in the care home, to put a smile on the residents face. They planned the workshops, and they brought along lots of games. Residents were delighted They spent time together, dancing and singing. Children also were in every resident's room, making their day even better.
Upcoming events
Our Monthly Pudding Club
On the last Tuesday of each month we host our themed pudding club, providing a variety of delicious home made bakes and treat for everyone. Come along for free to see more.
Elf Day 2024
We celebrate Elf Day on Wednesday 4th December. Come in dressed up as an elf and join in the fun with staff and residents at Alice Grange
Santa's Coming to Town
On Saturday 7th December the big man himself will be at Alice Grange as we open up our Christmas Santa's Grotto.
Christmas Jumper Day
Get your Christmas jumpers out and ready for Thursday 12th December as we all dress up for the day at work.
Christmas Pudding Club
Join us on Tuesday 17th December from 3pm for a special festive themed Pudding Club to finish the year off in style.
Christmas Party
Join us on Monday 23rd December as we get fully into the spirt of Christmas with a big Christmas Party in the home. Everyone's invited!
