Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Christmas Tree Appeal

Christmas Tree Appeal

This was a special day to celebrate the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Chirstmas tree appeal. All those present were donating gifts to give away on Christmas Day to anyone unlucky enough to be in hospital at that time.

Onesie Day

Onesie Day

Residents and staff at the Alice Grange celebrated both Children and Need and the grand opening of our new Pub.

So far, over £50 has been raised for the charity, and tonight we enjoy the grand opening of our new bar, in which residents can unwind and relax over their favourite tipple.

Anyone wishing to donate further to Children in Need can continue to do so at Alice Grange.

Appeal for The Ipswich Hospital Charity

Appeal for The Ipswich Hospital Charity

Help us spread joy this Christmas by donating non-perishable food items or gifts for The Ipswich Hospital Charity.

Please bring them to us so that we can group them together and pass them on wrapped and packaged to those in need.

The deadline for receiving at Alice Grange is 5th December.

Thank you in advance for your help sharing the magic of Christmas.

Barchy & Pudsey Bear

Barchy & Pudsey Bear

Dear residents, relatives, friends and colleagues,

Pudsey Bear, from Children in Need, has been in contact and asked if we can do him a favour.

Pudsey is very good friends with our very own Barchy Bear and they are desperate to go away on holiday together. The trouble is, they have no money!

They were wondering if you were off anywhere nice in the near future, in the UK or abroad, and if you could manage to squeeze a couple of friendly bears into your suitcase? Or maybe they could go for a sleep over at your house?

They travel light, don’t eat much and ask only for a photo from your trip or at the sleep over - with them included of course - for their passport. Could you help them please?

Of course, their short stay with you is time out of their busy fundraising day, so they have been tasked with collection whilst away from the office – every little helps!

Any donations (pot's in reception) to either charity would be gratefully received.

Please let Kristy know if you can help. She is in contact with Barchy and Pudsey, so can help make the arrangements.
