Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, my name is Sarah and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Ashchurch View.
I have always worked within the care sector and also have experience working with older people in the community. I have a particular passion for those living with dementia and enjoy being able to enhance their well-being as well as having as much fun as possible along the way.
I aim to provide a varied and interesting collection of events and activities for all of our residents and welcome new ideas from families and friends.
As a enjoy being part of a team who are committed to Barchester's Life Enrichment Programme, and strive to ensure we work with mind, body and soul.

Life at Ashchurch View Care Home
Penpal Scheme at Ashchurch View
a Penpal scheme has been arranged with a local school. The residents love hearing what their new penpal has been doing throughout the week and exchange stories with new friends.
Safehaven Parrot Refuge comes to Ashchurch
Many thanks to Chris and Kim for bringing Hope the Salmon-crested cockatoo and Roxy the rabbit to Ashchurch View.
The Barchester Charitable Foundation recently awarded a grant of £750 towards the provision of a disabled toilet facility.
As you can see all the residents loved meeting them all. A VIP invite to Safehaven's new premises will be sent to the residents where there are other rescue animals such as alpacas, donkeys, ponies and 18 other parrots to name a few.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service supporting Ashchurch View
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and their cadets supported Ashchurch View Open Day. They will also help others in the emergency services by circulating our 'Come and take a break with us' posters.
Working together for the community is extremely important for us at Ashchurch View and we will be helping Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue fundraise for their trip to Holland which involves essential training for the cadets.
Red Nose day cake decorating fun
Pupils from Ashchurch Primary School visited today to ice cupcakes and play games with the residents. Lots of creative and delicious were made and eaten!
Nellie turns 100 at Ashchurch View
Nellie had a fantastic 100th birthday surrounded by her family at Ashchurch View. With lots of fun and games, Nellie even had her photo's taken for the local paper!
Musical Sessions
Residents had a great time at our musical session recently. One of our residents loved singing ''we'll be coming round the mountains'' in her cowboy hat.
