Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Storytime

At Ashchurch View, we have been working with a local group called Open Arms Artists' Collective to create stories inspired by dance, drama, games and sensory stimulation.

This project took place over 7 weeks on our Memory Lane community, and we have 4 fantastic stories, written by the residents (and scribed by us!), which are now available to view in the café area as well as on Memory Lane. We even had an awards ceremony at the end, where we dressed up in our smartest clothes and each person was given a certificate and a glass of bubbly!

Double Celebration

It was a double celebration at Ashchurch View when we celebrated both Barchester's 25th anniversary and our own 5th anniversary. We were joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Tewkesbury and Brambles Animals from Malvern.
