Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Make a Wish

Just like Yoko Ono’s art installation, we have started our wish trees! There is one on each floor and residents have expressed a wish. It was then written on a paper and hung on a tree.

Gardening Afternoon

There's nothing more calming than gardening on a sunny and warm afternoon. We planted sunflower seeds and courgettes! Looking forward to see how it grows.

Cupcake Party

Our lady residents had a splendid afternoon chatting together and decorating their cupcakes. We decided all cupcakes were brilliant, so everyone won!

Congratulations to Antoneta Burgess, who has been named as a Divisional Winner in the 2020 Barchester Care Awards. Antoneta is a finalist in the Carer of the Year category and has been invited to attend a virtual awards ceremony on 8th October, where she will find out if she has won overall.

VE Day Celebrations

We celebrated VE Day by painting some Union Jack flags specially for the occasion.

World Chocolate Day

Residents at Beaufort Grange in Bristol revelled in all things sweet on World Chocolate Day with a range of chocolatey activities on Tuesday 7th July.

Staff helped residents make chocolate bars and we decorated them with all our favourite chocolate treats.

Residents voted on their favourite version of the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory – Gene Wilder or Johnny Depp? The original 1971 version won the vote, which residents enjoyed watching.
