Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home

The Willy Wicket

We went to the Willy Wicket pub for lunch. Residents had delicious meals (and drinks) and enjoyed it a lot. A memory drive around Downend brought back a lot of memories to our residents.

Music Entertainment

We had a fantastic time with our musical guests Sian and Rob who came to play and sing along with our residents. From Christmas classic songs to Louis Armstrong’s Hello Dolly, our residents enjoyed all the songs!

Aerospace Museum

We took a trip back to the past by visiting the Aerospace museum. It brought back a lot of memories to our residents who all knew the Concorde in different ways.

Meet Fluffy Flynn

Flynn went up on every floor to greet our residents and put a smile on their faces. All were delighted! Poor Flynn was very tired by the end of the afternoon. Come back any time, Flynn!

I ain't afraid of no bugs!

Moving into a care home doesn’t have to mean the end of new and exciting things! Here, we see two of our residents getting acquainted with a particularly creepy crawly, all thanks to our friends over at Zoolab.

Happy Days

Every couple of months we at Beaufort are very lucky to have the children and the wonderful staff of Happy Days Nursery and Preschool, along with Geri McKenna of Debutots, in to entertain and brighten our day.

Intergenerational activities have been proven to benefit both age groups massively. Thank you happy days for your wonderful visits!
