Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lucy Lock
Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Aquarium Trip
Here at Beaufort, we believe getting out into the community is very important, and so are new experiences. So, we combined these two values and took some of our residents to the Bristol Aquarium to introduce them to some fishy friends they’d never met before. We all have a 'scale' of a time!
Talk Like a Pirate Day
We celebrated National Talk Like a Pirate Day in style. We had some pirate-themed crafting sessions for our residents and dressed up in 'ARRR' favourite pieces.
Guitar Fun
Sian and Rob came to perform live music for us in our bistro. They are such talented guitarists; everyone had a great time singing and jiving along to the varied music.
Summer Fair
We had our summer fair in July at the home. Residents and families enjoyed the presence of the fire brigade who came to talk to us about their work & showed us some of their equipment. A massive thank you to Southmead Fire department for attending our event.
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, promoting movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!
You can read more about it on this page.
Oakham Treasures Museum
Residents of Beaufort Grange had the opportunity to communicate with the local people and to stay connected with the community. Some of our ladies enjoyed the wonderful exhibits of the Oakham Treasures museum in Portbury. Staff and residents had a great time together and a nice lunch in a lovely cafe.
