Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lucy Lock
Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home
We're Dementia Friends
Activities Coordinator and Dementia Champion, Callam Hodges-Gray, ran a Dementia Friends session for residents, all of whom are living—or, at least, live alongside somebody—with Dementia.
We are hoping to have everyone in the home get on board with this wonderful initiative, which has over 2 million supporters and counting (and now 8 more after this session!).

International Women's Day
It was International Women’s Day on 8th March and, to celebrate, we invited Charlotte and Zoey from The Body Shop into Beaufort Grange to deliver some beauty treatments to the lovely ladies in our home.
Shannon Sings for Beaufort
The singing sensation that appeared on ITV's The Voice delighted residents, their families & the local community with an afternoon of live entertainment. She even took the time for a few cheeky selfies.
Card Making Day
It was international 'Send a Card to a Friend Day' recently, so we decided to get a little creative and make our own, digging out the craft box to get to work. I think you’ll agree the results were fantastic.
M Shed
We recently went to the wildlife photo exhibit at the wonderful M Shed on the harbour side. We got up close and personal with this great big lion. They were all very brave and even got close enough for a photo.
Don't Dine Alone
Activities Coordinator, Callam Hodges-Gray, was at Southmead Hospital over the weekend promoting our 'Don't Dine Alone' initiative, which aims at combating loneliness in the community amongst the elderly.
Beaufort Grange and many other Barchester homes are offering some company and a complimentary three-course meal with the only cost of calling up to book a space at one of our tables.
