Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Chapel Visit

We visited the world's oldest Methodist Chuch, the John Wesley Chapel in Broadmead. The group enjoyed an informative talk on the history of the building and of John Wesley himself. Of course, all of this was followed by a lovely cup of tea in their newly-refurbished café.

,

Tea Dance

A couple of residents were invited to sample a tea dance that was hosted by members of the Alzheimer’s Society. This is Joan and David doing a waltz and the group showing off their twisting skills
