Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Gardening Club

We started Beaufort Grange’s Gardening Club on a recent sunny Thursday afternoon with the help of our new volunteer, Anmol. It was a great success and we now have strawberries, runner beans and sunflowers growing in our already beautiful garden.

Skittles Tournament

Skittles Tournament

As an alternative to an exercise class, the Memory Lane residents took part in a skittle tournament, and everyone who participated had a blast!

Open Day

Open Day

Residents and staff enjoyed the musical talents of Will Southcote, who was kind enough to come and entertain us on our open day. Loads of fun was had and the audience had a great time singing along to some classics we all know and love.

Getting Creative

Getting Creative

Long-term resident, Ian, had never joined our art class before, but word spread around about how fun it was, and he couldn't resist any longer!

Musical Magic

Musical Magic

We were very happy welcome back Sian and Rob to the home with their beautiful acoustic covers of classic songs of yesteryear. Lots of fun was had by all who attended.

Combating a Sedentary Life

Combating a Sedentary Life

Our Activities Coordinator, Callam, gave an important talk to the residents on the necessity of combating a sedentary lifestyle. Residents found it very interesting and enjoyed the 'chairobics' class that followed after.
