Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

International Nurses' Day

International Nurses' Day

We wanted to say a special thank you to all our Nurses for their hard work and dedication to those we support. Each Nurse was presented with a certificate and some flowers on International Nurses' Day, along with afternoon tea.

Loki the ferret, owned by Callam from our activities team, came to visit Beaufort recently. It was a lovely treat for residents!

Pendlington Performs

Pendlington Performs

We were joined by the wonderful entertainer, John Pendlington, who played his guitar and sang for residents. As always, his performance went down very well and got everybody singing along and playing their percussion instruments. A great time was had by all!

Chew Valley Lake

Residents enjoyed a day trip to Chew Valley Lake, where they had a picnic by the lake with a portion of chips.

National Scrabble Day

National Scrabble Day

A few residents had lots of fun celebrating National Scrabble day by – you guessed it – playing Scrabble!

Easter Egg Hunt

Children and grandchildren of staff and residents were invited to come to the home for an Easter egg hunt. Fun was had by all and lots of chocolate was eaten, leading to some happy, hyper children – sorry Mum & Dad!
