Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.
Yasmine Dawson
I have worked at Braeburn Lodge since 2015. I started working as a carer and the activities side of the role really appealed to me. We organise a variety of activities to suit everybody’s preferences and abilities. I enjoy working at Braeburn and making a difference to the residents’ lives.

Life at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Easter Sunday with Braeburn Lodge
On Easter Sunday, we took a trip to our local Church, the Priory in Deeping St James and celebrated Easter with our local community. The Church looked beautiful, full of lovely yellow flowers and the hymns put cheer into our hearts!
St Patrick's Day
Residents at Braeburn were in for a special treat this St Patricks Day with a visit from HMS Welland, a fabulous local singing group who wowed us with Irish Sea Shanties and some popular classics that we all joined in with. We flooded the halls with the sounds of our voices and after a tea break we were ready for more! A truly fabulous way to celebrate St Patricks day, a massive thank you to HMS Welland from all of us!
Getting Busy in the Kitchen
The residents on Memory Lane rolled up their sleeves and helped out with lunch today by chopping and peeling our vegetables. A wonderful job was done and they tasted fabulous after the chef worked his magic in the kitchen!
Balloon Bounce!
The residents on Pippin Lane worked up a bit of a sweat with this group game. Everybody pitched in to stop the balloon from reaching the floor and we all had a good work out!
Our Easter Raffle is Now On!
Fancy your chances winning some lovely chocolatey goodness? Our Easter Raffle is now open with tickets being sold at £1 per strip and available at reception. The Raffle will be drawn at an evening event on Monday the 28th of March at 7pm in the Honeysuckle Lounge. Can we tempt you to join?
Trip to Waterside Garden Centre
Today we braved the rain and took a trip to our local garden centre with our volunteer Lou Crowson. We were on a mission to buy some plants for a special occasion and after a long wonder we were ready for our warm drinks and millionaires shortbread. We had to have a photograph with this handsome fella before leaving, how could we resist that face!
