Activities at Brampton View Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Brampton View Care Home

Wedding at Brampton View
On August bank holiday weekend we had the pleasure of welcoming friends and family of our resident Derek into Brampton View to celebrate the recreated wedding of his daughter Emily and her husband Ryann. The day was filled with love, smiles and lots of laughter along with a few tears as Derek got to walk his daughter down the aisle and then the couple exchanged vows for a second time and everyone sat down to afternoon tea. This was a wonderful family occasion and we are so honoured to have been a part of it!

National Dog Day
In honour of National Dog Day tomorrow we hosted a mini dog show this afternoon at Brampton View! Huge thank you to everyone who attended and those who brought their dogs. All dogs were fabulous and won an award for one of our categories. We will definitely be hosting this event again. We had lots of cuddles and smiles all around!

Lucia’s Tiny Farm
We enjoyed time cuddling with Lucia’s Tiny Farm this week. We were visited by guinea pigs, rabbits, a puppy, tortoise and many more. We had cuddles, fed them treats of chopped fruits and vegetables and spent time remising about our own pets and animals throughout our lives

National Photograhpy Day
We celebrated National Photography Day by sharing our most treasured photographs of our family, friends, pets and travel. We relived the best memories of events through our lives with storytelling through these photographs. We shared our beloved pets, how we first met our partners and stories of our children!

Summer Fete
Brampton View Summer Fete! The weather may not have been on our side but this didn’t dampen our spirits. We enjoyed an afternoon of music, browsing through stalls and food.
Thank you to all who came and the wonderful staff who helped make the event happen.
Our winners of the day are:
Guess the name of the teddy - Brenda B
Guess the name of the octopus - Mark B
Guess the number of sweets in the jar - Carol G
We will be contacting you today to claim your prizes!

Beer Tasting
What better way to end our week than with beer tasting. We sampled a selection of beers and lagers accompanied with some nibbles and chose our favourites. This was such a fun activity for all involved and even got us singing some of our favourite songs! We have had some requests for gin tasting next time.
