Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Emma Robinson

Activities Lead

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

If you would like to come and chat with me about your family member then please contact the home to arrange this.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Congratulations, Your Majesty

Residents at Brampton View enjoyed lots of Jubilee cakes, parties, entertainment, games and decorations to congratulate Her Majesty. We invited families and friends to our celebrations and recalled past Jubilees and the Coronation. It was a wonderful long weekend that we will remember.

So pleased to be outside

How lovely it is to be outside in the sunshine enjoying the garden and countryside at Brampton View.

Dancing with the little ones

The children from Kingsthorpe Grove School entertained Brampton View again with their dancing, chatting and reading. They are so sweet and we love their visits.

Move More, Feel Better sessions

Bob Allen, a local Osteopath, holds a weekly exercise class at Brampton View to help residents strengthen key parts of the body which assist with movement and balance. We do seated or standing exercises on the ankles, legs, hips, back, shoulders, neck and wrists. As well as improving general mobility, continued strengthening of these areas should reduce the risk of falls, and reduce injury if a fall does occur. Residents and staff all feel better after our Friday afternoon sessions with Bob.

Jean's visitor from Germany

Jean was over the moon to see her granddaughter Susy for the first time in over two years. Susy lives in Germany and it was a 16-hour drive to Northampton. They were so happy to see each other again and had a lot to catch up on as they sat together in the cafe area at Brampton View.
