Activities at Cadbury Hall Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hannah Lewis

Activities Co Ordinator

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am the Activities Coordinator at Cadbury Hall.

I studied ‘Creative Expressive Arts, Health and Wellbeing’ at university and am passionate about using the arts to aid people’s social, physical, and mental wellbeing. In my spare time I love to dance, sing, and act, and help to run a local drama group for children aged 10-18.

With the support of all staff at Cadbury Hall and feedback from residents, we aim for a varied and person-centred activity schedule to help the residents lead rich and fulfilling lives. The best part of my day is seeing the residents get stuck in with the activities and looking at the smiles on their faces.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

The residents enjoyed a very informative talk and discussion as to the origins of cider and its growth into an award-winning business. The juicy apple blends were tasted in good measure, Thatcher’s Haze,Gold and a new blend were enjoyed by all.

Originally the cider makers were paid in Cider and know as the best around the world.

Residents discussed their courting days over a glass of cider or two, antics as young men and enjoying a pint or two at the Rugby. Thatcher’s Gold remaining a firm the favourite amongst the men at Cadbury Hall.

Christmas Fete- Yatton Primary School

Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Yatton Primary School fete to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Fete.

There were all kinds of stalls on offer manned by volunteers, friends and family and lots of local stall holders came along to sell their wares too.  There were delicious local treats, cakes and jams, lovely craft items, fabulous knitwear and collectables, the list goes on!

There was a fantastic atmosphere and our residents’ meet friends, ex work colleagues, shop owners, families young and old. When you are 100 years there are plenty of people to meet in your community, story to share and memory to discuss.

Audrene Abrigo, General Manager at the home, said: “At Cadbury Hall, we are dedicated to making sure that the home is a part of the local community, and this event, along with everyone’s hard work, has definitely paid off. It was a resounding success!  Thank you for making us so warmly welcome. A lovely way to spend a Saturday.
