Activities at Canmore Lodge Care Home

Residents made thank you cards and gifts to say thank you to our housekeeping team for the wonderful job they do each day. The team were delighted with their  gifts and even received a certificate of appreciation.       

Residents enjoyed a mystery tour to Loch Leven and the Pinkfoot café. We love to see surprise reactions on our trips.       

Residents have enjoyed spending time in the garden throughout the summer months, taking inspiration from all the beautiful flowers around them. 

Residents had the opportunity to get creative and make their own paper collage bouquets using a variety of colours and designs. 
Residents enjoyed being creative, sharing their ideas and seeing their finished bouquets come together.         

Resident Ann, had a lovely morning celebrating a special birthday with residents, loved ones and staff. 

We were joined by Misha Sutherland for some live music which included classic 60s hits and traditional Scottish music. There was plenty of fun, dancing and laughs.  

A lovely celebration for a very special lady, creating memories to treasure. Happy Birthday, Ann!   

Oh yes they did! Our residents had an absolutely fantastic time watching the brilliant Panto Nessie.

It was wonderful to see everyone singing along, laughing, and fully enjoying the performance from start to finish.

The pantomime brought so much joy and excitement to the home, creating a lovely atmosphere filled with smiles and happy memories.    

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of beer tasting in recognition of National Beer Lovers Day where they had a selection of different ales and lagers.     

Residents at Canmore Lodge made some treat hampers for our local emergency service heroes in recognition of the hard work they do. Residents were delighted to get a surprise tour of the local fire station in return.   

Residents enjoyed a brilliant trip along the coast to Café Verde in Burntisland. Everyone had a great time enjoying a coffee and taking in the beautiful coastal views. 

It was a lovely outing and a great opportunity for residents to get out and about and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.      

Residents enjoyed a lovely trip to the picturesque village of Limekilns, where they stopped at The Coorie Café for coffee, cake, and plenty of conversation. 

The visit was made even more special for one resident, who grew up in Limekilns and enjoyed reminiscing about familiar places while sharing fond memories of the village. 

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, nostalgia, delicious treats, and the chance to revisit a place that holds many happy memories for many of our residents.   

Residents and their families enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating Father’s Day together. Residents were served a selection of refreshments including beer, pork pies, sandwiches, and crisps, and each resident received a special gift bag to mark the occasion.

Many residents chose to spend time outdoors in the garden, making the most of the lovely weather while enjoying the company of their loved ones. The afternoon provided a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, share stories, and create special memories.       

Residents at the Arts & Crafts club have been busy making garden pals which can be found in the grounds of the home. We love our little caterpillar and we look forward to seeing more garden pals pop up.          

Another year another show and what a show it was, with over 20 dogs partaking in the event. We raised £745 for our residents fund at the event.

Residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre, where they spent a relaxed morning caring for and meeting the horses.

During the visit, residents had the opportunity to interact with the horses and learn more about the valuable work carried out by Riding for the Disabled. Everyone enjoyed being outdoors, spending time together and sharing conversations and experiences, making it a lovely and memorable morning for all.

Canmore Lodge celebrated their annual Summer Fête, with a fabulous afternoon enjoyed by residents, family, friends and staff. This year’s theme was a tropical Hawaiian celebration, bringing plenty of fun and laughter.

Residents and guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ, refreshing drinks, live music from Misha Sutherland, a tombola, raffle and traditional fête games, with plenty of laughter throughout the afternoon. 

Everyone embraced the Hawaiian theme, wearing colourful leis and props while spending time together in the garden.

It was a wonderful celebration that brought residents, loved ones and staff together to enjoy the spirit of summer.        

Residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of arts and crafts, creating their own crowns in preparation for the Trooping the Colour.      

Residents enjoyed wearing their creations as they watched parade footage and a documentary about the life of the King. The activity sparked creativity and excitement as everyone got ready to celebrate this special occasion in style!
