Activities at Canmore Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a variety of events as well as offering tailored programmes to stimulate residents both mentally and physically. There are regular outings in the minibus to local places of interest, such as trips to the beach for ice cream, pub visits for a pint, and regular trips to Dobbies for tea and cakes. Georgie Girl, an old English sheep dog, also stops by the home on regular basis for pet therapy. Musical entertainment is a big hit with residents as well, so we book fan favourites to come and play at the home each month. At Canmore, relatives are always encouraged to join in on the fun too.

Mince Pie Making
Got to love a wee mince pie at Christmas time! Some of our residents had their hand at making a few of their own. Just some time to decorate and chat about all of the fun Christmas baking we used to do.
Bob Ross Painting
What a better way to carry on with our festive activities!
Today our residents painted some Christmas landscapes by the famous Bob Ross RIP
What a wonderful job they all did fun, laughter and off course a cuppa and cake
Thank you Bob Ross RIP for inspiring so many people with your wonderful paintings and the magic you put on canvas.
Deer Centre Park
What a treat!
Our residents at Canmore enjoyed a festive treat to the Deer Centre in Cupar to meet the reindeers.
There were so many different types of deer’s but our favourites were the Reindeers and the Fallow and Sikka deer’s.
We all enjoyed feeding the deer’s.
Time for a bit of lunch and some hot drinks.
To finish off we had a browse in the gift shop.
Meeting the Reindeers
Across our homes we got into the Christmas spirit of things by joining a festive live virtual experience, led by Des and Kelly from Performing Pets.
Our residents were thrilled to meet the charming furry friends and get up close and personal with the reindeers.
We certainly learnt some interesting facts about the animals and had a fantastic time.
Christmas Chains
Residents at Canmore continuing with the festive theme having fun whilst enjoying making Christmas paper chains to decorate our home, Lots of festivities leading up to Christmas decorate our home for this lovely festive season!
