We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Chacombe Park Care Home
Santa’s Gift of Joy
On Christmas Day, Santa spread joy, delivering gifts to each resident, filling the air with excitement. Unwrapping surprises, they shared smiles, creating a lovely day. "Merry Christmas" echoed, and New Year wishes sealed warmth. The Christmas dinner added to the happiness, making it a joyous celebration for everyone. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, filled with joy, warmth, and wonderful moments!
Carousel Theatre Company's performance of Dick Whittington
The Carousel Theatre Company's performance of Dick Whittington was simply amazing. The residents, captivated by the enchanting show, thoroughly enjoyed and loved every moment. And the residents were laughter and truly amazed by the show. It turned an ordinary day into something extraordinary, making their day truly special.
Joyful Christmas Carols
In Chacombe park, the Sunday school children from Victory Worship Centre, led by Pastor Wilson Abraham and their lively troupe, brought a burst of joy with a wonderful Christmas carol. The residents, surrounded by the festive tunes, had a great time, and in return, they shared the warmth of the season by giving Christmas gifts to the children. The smiles exchanged made it a beautiful day filled with the spirit of giving and shared happiness.
Vintage Ruby’s Christmas Melodies
Vintage Ruby graced the air with a beautiful voice, singing Christmas songs that filled the hearts of all residents with joy. The residents were singing along with her which was so beautiful and the day became brighter, and the simple melodies created a soundtrack of happiness, making it a truly delightful and memorable occasion.
Bicester Avenue Garden Centre
Residents at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre had a delightful time surrounded by beautiful Christmas decorations. The garden centre were decorated with the Christmas trees and lights which was so amazing and looked all through the way. They enjoyed drinks, snacks, and each other's company, creating a lovely and amazing experience.
Chacombe Handbell Ringers
In the heart of Chacombe park care home, Christmas unfolded with the gentle ring of hand bells. The Chacombe Hand bell Ringers, offered a special service to the residents. The sweet chimes echoed through the air, creating a serene and festive atmosphere. Faces lit up with joy as the enchanting melody with the bells touched every heart. The simple yet magical sound of hand bells became a cherished tradition, filling the home with warmth and community spirit.
