Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Chacombe Park Care Home

It's a Beach Day!

It's a Beach Day!

An afternoon of singing on an (almost) sunny day! Chacombe Park put on a beach day afternoon for the residents and families to enjoy. Singer, Tristan Pate, wowed the residents and their families and, after a good old sing-along, many traditional ice creams were consumed.

Chacombe Park Goes for Gold!

Chacombe Park Goes for Gold!

Chacombe Park won a staggering 19 Rosettes at the Banbury Food Festival; it was such an amazing afternoon, thanks to our amazing team! The sun shone as the residents and staff began to celebrate this amazing achievement.

Carolann Hinson, General Manager, said: “I am immensely proud of the residents and team here at Chacombe Park, bringing home 19 Rosettes. The Banbury Food Festival has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home is always keen to support this fantastic day.”

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Oh, what fun! Say no more when Head of Maintenance, Ian Williams, jumped at the opportunity to be Alice for an afternoon and Ian's assistant, Dylan, became the King. General Manager, Carolann, stepped into the role of playing the Queen. Singing, dancing and karaoke was all supervised by the grinning Cheshire Cat and the team at Chacombe. What a fantastic afternoon; it was all finished off with some delightful tea.

A Very Chocolaty Afternoon!

A Very Chocolaty Afternoon!

Chacombe Park held a delicious chocolate afternoon, where residents enjoyed the delights of a chocolate fountain with lots of fresh fruit, marshmallows, miniature shortbreads and cookies to dip in and devour!

Open Day at Chacombe Park

Chacombe Park took part in National Care Home Open day and held their annual fete on Saturday 18th June. Lots of fun was had as the youngsters visiting practiced their aim on willing participants! The rain held off and we raised just over £250 for the residents to enjoy.
