Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

National Nutrition and Hydration Week

National Nutrition and Hydration Week

Chacombe Park Care Home near Banbury is celebrating winning the Barchester National Nutrition and Hydration Week (14th – 20th March) with wholesome food and thirst quenching beverages.

During this week Barchester Healthcare ran a creative challenge for the Chefs of Barchester homes to provide the best nutritional fine dining experience and the winners will be awarded £500 of kitchen equipment.

We are delighted to announce that Chacombe Park’s Head Chef Paul Ganea won the Barchester competition for the region with his delightfully presented, nationally packed fine dining meals.

David Groves General Manager at the home, said “Chefs are trained to meet the resident's specific dietary requirements as well as all their likes and dislikes. In addition to being trained in how to cook delicious and well prepared food, the chefs are trained in nutritional balance and special diets with lots of thought going into menu planning. "Well done Paul".
