Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Chacombe Park Care Home
100th Birthday Celebrations
Chacombe Park has a centenarian living in its midst.
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating resident May's 100th birthday. The sun shone while families and friends raised their glasses to the lovely May.
Art & Soul
Chacombe Park were blessed to have the wonderful Annie from Art & Soul come and do a creative art afternoon with residents. They all had a great time and cannot wait for her to return!
An Adorable Guest at Chacombe Park
Tory, a long serving member of the housekeeping staff, who is currently on maternity leave, brought delight to the residents as she introduced two week old William to the Chacombe family. Resident, Judy, loved holding William.
The Feeding of the Lambs
Residents living at Chacombe Park had a lovely afternoon saying hello and assisting the lambs at Limes Farm with their milk supply. Residents then really enjoyed consuming some afternoon tea in Limes Farm's café.
Party at Chacombe!
Chacombe Park held a wonderful launch party to celebrate the start of a new era, following significant investment to the home.
Visitors were welcomed to view the home’s stylish new interior and take a tour of the it on Friday 20th May.
Champagne glasses were raised as resident, Captain Charles Vyvyan Howard, DSC, took up the honour of officially cutting the red ribbon and declaring that Chacombe Park's new refurbishment was open.
With the refurbishment now offering additional luxurious social areas, guests enjoyed traditional afternoon tea listening to Ariella Strings playing live.
The home’s General Manager was available to answer any questions guests had about finding the right home and about the services offered at Chacombe Park.
Sally Matthews, Home Services Advisor, said: “The home is looking better than ever after the recent investment and it was a pleasure to showcase the elegant new interior at the launch party. My door is always open, and anyone who couldn’t make the Open Day is very welcome to drop by for a cup of tea any other day instead.”
Celebrating the Queen's Birthday
Here at Chacombe Park, we celebrated the Queen's 90th birthday with good old fashioned Victoria sponge and a performance from Richard Deveraux, which was enjoyed by all around the home!
