Activities at Chalfont Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Chalfont Lodge is a large care home and we have a diverse range of groups and events to ensure that everyone feels welcome and included. In the Lifestyle team we work hard to create a sense of community and ensure there is always someone to talk to and something to do.
Our residents help us to plan the monthly lifestyle programme, making sure that everyone has something they like, enabling people to keep up with life long hobbies or pick up new ones. We have long term projects like our summer parties, car shows, BBQs, craft fairs, Christmas shows to mention a few and residents can be as involved as they would like in all stages of the planning or just come along and enjoy on the day.
We love going out on trips, to lunch, shopping or to socialise with other local groups, we also have many people who come into visit us with church services, music, talks and support for our bigger events.
We have a fantastic team of staff and every department is involved in making sure our residents get the most out of living here. We have a brilliant music therapist who works her magic 3 days a week, running group and individual sessions. Our Physiotherapy team keep everyone fit and active, working with us to make sure everyone has access to sports and team games.
We have a full programme groups, events and clubs but none of it would be possible without our residents and their families, we all work together to make this a home from home and to keep laughter and friendship at the heart of what we do.

Both Anna and I enjoy working with such a great team and nothing makes us happier than to bring joy and laughter to our residents' daily lives.

Life at Chalfont Lodge Care Home

Community Knit and Natters
We have had a lovely coffee morning with the ladies and gentleman from our local community knit and natter group. They kindly brought along their Christmas knits to show our residents and gave us demonstrations on how they do their beautiful work which, including cosy warm blankets that they kindly knitted for some of our residents.

A Wonderful Wallaby
We were so excited when we got a lovely surprise visit from Performing Pets who came along with Wilson the White Wallaby. As you can imagine having a beautiful unique animal like this come to visit brought many shocked but happy faces! Everyone could not believe they were so close to the Wallaby and even more so that he liked a good cuddle!
Thank you Performing Pets for bringing extra Christmas cheer to Chalfont Lodge.

Raffle Winner
Congratulations to our Care Practitioner Cosmina who won our raffled Christmas Hamper! We raised over £110 for "Liberty's Legacy" which raises vital funds for life saving research into Ewing sarcoma.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket for this great cause.

Cupcake Decorating
Here at Chalfont Lodge our residents enjoyed decorating their own cupcakes which were prepared and baked by our wonderful Chef. We then used different treats to make creative designs whilst we couldn't resist eating them at the same time!
They were very tasty we must say!

Chalfont's Christmas Party
Chalfont Lodge's Christmas Party was in full swing today with festive treats, mulled wine, ukulele performances from the staff along with carol singing & so much more. Residents enjoyed an afternoon of festive cheer and dancing!
What a great afternoon we all have had getting together to celebrate the upcoming Christmas period!

Designing Gingerbread Houses
We love any excuse to get creative so when we found out the 12th of December was Gingerbread House Day, we didn’t need any persuading to get cracking.
Our residents, got busy decorating with icing, strawberry laces, dolly mixture, jelly beans, smarties and sprinkles to make some of the glitziest gingerbread house and train in town!
They look really lovely and they are indeed delicious - what a fun way to spend our time.
