Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home
The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.
Jo Eland
After originally starting at Cheshire Grange in May 2015, I'm delighted to be back in the role of Activities Coordinator. It is a privilege to be in this role and spend time, getting to know our ladies and gentleman and their loved one, whilst doing all the fun things that can make such a difference to their days.

Life at Cheshire Grange Care Home
Garden Visit
Residents took great pleasure strolling around a local garden at Thelwall. The garden belonged to a garden designer and she gave our ladies a great deal of information about the plants and how various parts of the garden began and developed. The afternoon was finished off with tea and delicious homemade cakes that were served in the Victorian greenhouse.
Wedding Day
Using our minibus, we were able to take one of our long-term residents to her Grandson's wedding. It made a very special day just that little be more special for everyone.
Carnforth
A brief encounter at Carnforth Railway Station proved a popular outing for fans of the classic film, as did the afternoon tea.
Buster and Harris
Residents were treated to a visit from Hungarian Vizsla puppies, Harris & Buster recently. The puppies enjoyed all the extra attention and put some very big smiles on everyone's faces.
Dunham Park
A trip to the local deer park, Dunham Massey, is always a firm favourite with the ladies and gents and of course there is always a chance of tea and cake in the tea rooms.
Barchester in Bloom
We're proud to announce that Cheshire Grange has been named as a divisional winner in the 'Innovative Garden' category for the 2017 Barchester in Bloom competition. Well done to everyone who made this possible!
