Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home
The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.
Jo Eland
After originally starting at Cheshire Grange in May 2015, I'm delighted to be back in the role of Activities Coordinator. It is a privilege to be in this role and spend time, getting to know our ladies and gentleman and their loved one, whilst doing all the fun things that can make such a difference to their days.

Life at Cheshire Grange Care Home
Tea Dance at Thelwall
We visited Thelwall British Legion for their monthly Tea Dance. A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all!
Easter Cake Competition
Ladies and gents from all of our communities got involved with making the Cheshire Grange entry for the annual Barchester Easter Cake Competition. Everyone appeared very pleased with the result and will enjoy sampling it over Easter.
Easter Flowers
Our ladies enjoyed an afternoon of flower arranging and managed to produce some very beautiful Easter-themed centre pieces for the dinng room tables.
Afternoon Tea Dance
A trip to an afternoon tea dance at The Oaks in Penketh proved to be a great hit with residents and loved ones. The dancing was led by our wonderful host, Ron, and very quickly everyone was enjoying a turn on the dance floor, followed by tea & biscuits and a game of bingo before a little more dancing to round the afternoon off.
Lunch Trip
Residents from Cheshire Grange joined other care homes in the area for an afternoon of fish & chips and entertainment at a local pub. Our ladies and gents had a great time joining in with the singer and enjoying the meal as well as a little tipple too.
Live Entertainment
Resident favourite, John Jones, paid us a visit and had everyone singing, dancing and clapping their hands. There were big smiles from everyone.
