Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home
The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.
Jo Eland
After originally starting at Cheshire Grange in May 2015, I'm delighted to be back in the role of Activities Coordinator. It is a privilege to be in this role and spend time, getting to know our ladies and gentleman and their loved one, whilst doing all the fun things that can make such a difference to their days.

Life at Cheshire Grange Care Home
World Book Day
Residents enjoyed a tea party with the Cat in the Hat, Maid Marion and Long John Silver to mark not only World Book Day, but the launch of a book and a written word festival, which will see visits from local schools and include trips out to the village library, culminating in an evening event to mark World Book Night at the end of April.
Happy Birthday, A. A. Milne!
To celebrate the birthday of Winnie the Pooh's creator, residents enjoyed some stories from the famous book, along with a game that brought out the competitive side in some of our ladies & gents.
Slippers in the Rain
Earlier in the year, a group of residents visited the Pyramid Arts Centre for an exhibition that they had put their memories and life experiences into.
'Slippers in the Rain' is a unique art project created in collaboration between older Lymm residents, local artist, Helena Edwards, and Culture Warrington.
The group took part in workshops at Cheshire Grange to discuss their thoughts and feelings before using them as inspiration for striking works of art, which are now displayed in the Slippers in the Rain exhibition at the Pyramid Arts Centre.
