Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.
It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

Happy Carers Week

We are proud of each and every one of our care team for the outstanding care that they provide to the residents every single day.
Get Barchester Moving
Last week Chorleywood Beaumont have been participating in the Barchester get moving week.
Get Barchester Moving is a Foundation Week initiative encouraging a week of activity to include the Barchester care home teams, residents, relatives and communities.
You can move however you please – it’s the collective ‘Move Minutes’ that count! And it’s an opportunity for everyone to fundraise for the Foundation, whilst having fun and taking care of their wellbeing.
Throughout the week we have tailored our activities to incorporate and encourage everyone to get moving.
Performing Pets Visit
Performing Pets arrived at Chorleywood Beaumont yesterday afternoon much to the delight of our Residents and Staff! Please enjoy the photographs of these very popular cute 7 weeks’ old miniature piglets!
They will be back again soon. They are a lovely example of the ways in which Chorleywood Beaumont provides interesting daily Activities for our wonderful Residents!
Easter Egg Hunt
We’ve had an Egg-cellent morning here at Chorleywood Beaumont!
The residents chose a buddy and off they went to find the Easter Eggs.
Once the eggs were all located, the residents sat and enjoyed a refreshing beverage and chat amongst themselves.

Rummy Club
Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont enjoyed a friendly game of Rummy and challenged Home Manager Ramona Stanciu at their Rummy Club yesterday afternoon.
Playing board games offers many benefits including stimulating the brain and allowing for social interaction, which encourages bonding with other residents.
Staff at the home said "Clubs are really starting to take off at Chorleywood and it's truly lovely to see new friendships blossoming as residents get to know one another."
Old Time Musical Show
Our residents and their families enjoyed a fantastic musical event organised by our Resident Ambassador ,Harold and volunteers from Christ Church ,Warren and Mary.
A really fantastic show with our favourite sing-along songs of Old Time Music Hall at its Best.
A big thank you to all our teams for organising this lovely evening event!
