Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Residents and staff at Chorleywood Beaumont wish a very Happy Birthday to resident and volunteer Merriam. It was her daughters birthday too!

As well as being a resident in one of our independent living apartments, Merriam leads some of our lifestyle sessions and helps to support residents at Chorleywood Beaumont.

Our Chef baked a delicious cake and lunch in our private dining room to celebrate and make it a very special day for a very special lady.

Thank you Merriam and happy birthday

Residents take part in Barchester Sports day.

Today staff and residents from Chorleywood Beaumont attended a ‘Barchester Sports Day’ at Chalfont Lodge care home in Chalfont St Peter.

The day was organised by Chalfont Lodge’s Physiotherapist Mansukh Chander, who had a day of fun planned for everyone.

Everyone had a fantastic time in the sunshine and we partially enjoyed the sack race, relay race and wheelchair race!

A massive thank you to everyone who made the day so fun and to Raj Boodhoo, Chalfont Lodges General Manager for hosting us and for all the delicious food.

We love our garden!

We love our garden. It is such a beautiful place to be. Today residents and team members at Chorleywood Beaumont have been enjoying a walk in our lovely garden. Admiring the lovely plants and watching the birds and wildlife.

There are raised beds, our edible patch and plenty of shaded areas for sunnier days. Absolutely lovely.

Perfect Piglets.

Everyone at Chorleywood Beaumont looks forward to our visits from Performing Pets  This week was no exception when we met these lovely little piggies.

As you can see It was love at first sight,

The  pigs, are small domestic bred from New Zealand called Kunekune pronounced “kooney kooney”, which is Maori for “fat and round,” which describes their typically short and round-bodied appearance. They are the only truly grazing pig, being able to survive on grasses alone.

We absolutely loved seeing them  and hope they come back soon.

A trip to Rickmansworth Aquadrome.

This week residents have been out about on our mini bus to visit Rickmansworth Aquadrome and was enjoyed by many for the residents of Chorleywood Beaumont.

It was a lovely sunny day so we took a look at the boats and had a picnic everyone enjoyed a lovely home baked snaks and drinks and watched the going on's at the water-based clubs.
