Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Mother's Day

The lovely ladies here at Claremont Parkway enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day. We had lots of beautiful flowers and gifts brought in from the families. Everyone enjoyed a delicious roast chicken dinner and had a lovely day.

We even had a lovely surprise from Jeanette, one of our residents' daughters. She had very kindly made lots of little bunches of flowers for all the Mothers in the home which all the ladies thought were so pretty and kind.

Pirate Day

We had a fun afternoon here at Claremont Parkway. We had a treasure hunt and watched a Treasure Island Pantomime, which the residents loved. Everyone had such a fun afternoon!

,

Celebrating the Oscars

We enjoyed Hollywood stars bingo and an ultimate movie quiz and, of course with popcorn. The residents loved the afternoon, talking about their favourite movie stars and looking back at the movies they love.

Year of the Ox

To celebrate the Year of the Ox here at Claremont Parkway, the residents enjoyed watching a lion dance, as well as learning to say hello, thank you and goodbye in Chinese.

The residents really enjoyed learning Chinese; one of our new ladies was brilliant at it. After speaking to her husband, it turned out that she had spent some time in China.

A Big Thank You

As a thank you to the children at Windermere Nursery for their lovely Christmas gifts to our residents, the activities team here at Claremont Parkway made up a basket of treats and drop off.

Virtual Church Service

We joined St. Peter & St. Paul Church for our first ever virtual service. Residents really enjoy the experience and appreciated the chance to have a Sunday service.

Thank you St. Peter & St. Paul for the opportunity to join your community for your Sunday.
