Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

World Chocolate Day Fountain

On World Chocolate Day residents at Claremont Parkway enjoyed our new chocolate fountain. We dipped lots of different foods into the velvety chocolate, including marshmallows, waffles, strawberries and bread. Joyce loved her selection of treats while she read her book.

,

Carnival Games

We had fun this morning at Claremont Parkway taking a selection of carnival games to residents' bedrooms for some one-to-one fun and conversation. Joyce, Peter and other residents enjoyed Bean Bag Throwing and knocking down the Tin Cans.

A memory game from our childhood

Do you remember playing Memory Tray games at children’s parties in your younger days? Elaine from the Activities Team at Claremont Parkway filled a tray with assorted household items, then covered it over and removed an item for residents to work out what was missing. We all enjoy this activity as it keeps our brains active and promotes some fascinating recollections of childhood fun.

Let's Garden

Our residents had a lovely afternoon finishing off the raised flower beds with some plants.

Sue, whose husband Mike who is part of the Kettering Lions Club, supported our residents with picking out the flowers and helping to plant them.

A massive thank you to Sue, Mike and Bernard for supporting our resident in making the flower beds look wonderful.

Doll Therapy

We have some new additions to the Claremont Parkway family: we would like to introduce you to Anna and Emi, our new therapy dolls. As you can see they, were a huge hit with our Memory Lane residents.

A Voice in a Million

Residents had a marvellous afternoon here at Claremont Parkway and enjoyed a performance by Fiona Harrison. It was so nice to welcome our first entertainer back in the home.
