Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Happy Birthday King Charles
We had a right royal knees up as our residents celebrated the birthday of King Charles III with a royal themed buffet; Coronation chicken sandwiches, jam and cream scones and (an attempt) at a union jack cupcakes! We enjoyed crafts fit for a king - crown making on Daisy Lane and singing along to our royal tunes.
Maureen said "I'm not a queen, but I am close!"
Enjoying the fresh Autumn air!
Our residents take full advantage of our garden, even when the air is a little fresh! Pam, Betty and Jean all enjoyed a walk around the estate, followed by a wander down the garden path. Pam said "Even when it's a little chilly, you should try and get out as the fresh air is so good for you!". We agree completely Pam!
Golf Club Christmas Fayre
What a fabulously festive morning we had on Saturday, as Nanette, Pam and I headed out for the Christmas Fayre at Collingtree Park Golf Club, raising funds for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
As well as getting some Christmas shopping, Pam and Nanette enjoyed a variety of festive fundraising activities, as well as Christmas cake. A special thank you to local councillor, Sharon, for the invite and for all of your help on the day - we hope you raised lots of money for such an amazing cause.
High Tea at the Marriott
On Friday, our lovely residents were invited for afternoon high tea at Delta Hotels by Marriott Northampton. Joan, Betty, Jean and Mary enjoyed a selection of cakes and sandwiches prepared especially by chef Tomas. Tomas came and introduced himself and shared some of his favourite recipes from his home country, Mexico.
Joan enjoyed sharing her stories of being a speech therapist with maintenance support Jack, whilst Betty and Mary reminisced about the history of Northampton with housekeeping assistant Angie.
Jean enjoyed telling us about her family life, and her love of music (particularly the piano) while we all enjoyed the fabulous cakes. On the way home, Betty said "What a Friday to remember, we have been spoilt, thank you Marriott!".
We look forward to joining you again! Thank you all.
Poppy Day Crafts
A poppy themed crafts club on Bluebell Walk. This morning our ladies enjoyed reminiscing about Armistice day as well as creating a poppy field scene for their rooms.
Jean and Pam, laughing away said "we aren't usually crafty but we have had so much fun this morning, thank you!".
Happiest of birthdays to Virginia
Virginia enjoyed chair yoga with her friends in the morning, followed by singing and celebrations on her birthday. When presented with her cake, Virginia said "thank you for such a beautiful cake, it's wonderful". Her husband James loved to see Virginia in the lounge on her birthday and was even happier to share a slice of cake. Happy birthday Virginia, we're so glad you enjoyed your day!
