Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Prince's Trust Volunteers
Today we have been joined by some lovely young volunteers from Prince's Trust - Northampton. These wonderful students spent time with our residents enjoying puzzles and reminiscence with our Daisy Lane community, as well as hosting a general knowledge quiz on Bluebell Walk.
Everyone had a fabulous time in your company, thank you all for visiting, and good luck with the rest of your course!
G Fitness Fun
Thank you to Anya from Gfitness for bringing the energy to our Daisy Lane community this morning. Residents enjoyed the light exercise class you provided and starting the day with a boogie!
We can't wait to see you next week in our Bluebell Lounge.
Puzzles Stimulate Memories
Today residents on Memory Lane have enjoyed one to one puzzle sessions with a cup of tea and biscuits. These easy to handle dementia friendly activities help with hand-eye coordination, stimulate conversation through reminiscence and provide a sense of achievement.
Ivan said 'Thank you for helping me complete something, and thank you for being here with me to do it'.
Spring is in the 'Hair'
Thank you Bev for making our residents feel beautiful! Bev comes to Collingtree Park every week, and leaves our residents feeling pampered and refreshed ready for spring.
Lets get up and Boogie
Thank you Lesley-Ann and Katie-Rose for another smashing performance from the mother and daughter duo! We were all up and dancing.
Visiting Alpaca
These beauties bounded in with a spring in their step putting smiles on our residents faces. Thank you Easton Way Farm for bringing your gorgeous Alpaca to see us.
Here at Collingtree Park we recognise that Animal Therapy of all kinds can be so beneficial to the overall wellbeing of our residents (and staff).
