Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Thank you to Janja, for encouraging our residents to play along, and show off their general knowledge with your quiz too. All the residents enjoyed taking part, and having a cup of tea afterwards.
Morning Manicures
Manicure morning for our residents. Whilst the ladies enjoyed having their nails painted, some of our gents also opted for a hand massage and a nail clip and clean. It's so important that our residents look and feel good here at Collingtree Park!
Today's Topic is the NHS
In today's discussion group we talked about the history of the NHS and the development of our health services in the UK. Joan commented "It is a truly amazing development and I am so grateful for having such a wonderful service in the country I live in, it has been especially useful during this period in my life".
We finished our discussion with a quiz, prepared by Gemma, which tested our residents' knowledge, memory and mathematics!
Bella & Avis Relax
Our resident cat Bella and Avis took time to stretch out in the late summer sunshine this afternoon.
