Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Trip to Collingtree Gold Club
We had a lovely trip to Collingtree Park Golf Club yesterday! Thank you Rhea for your hospitality and helping us pick a sweet treat for our afternoon tea.
Happy Mother's Day
In celebration of all Mother's on their special day we asked our residents to tell us about any advice or memories they could recall about their wonderful mums.
It was so lovely learn how much respect they had for their mothers and the knowledge they imparted whilst growing up that shaped their lives. It was all cakes, flowers and cards throughout the home on Sunday... Happy Mother's Day with love from all at Collingtree Park.
Nice 'n' Easy Does it!
What a performance! We love having the duo Nice 'n' Easy entertain our residents, they always get us singing and dancing.
Lovely Lula Entertains
Yesterday we had the pleasure of Lula May joining us for a throwback to the swinging 60's. Residents enjoyed singing and dancing to music which holds happy memories for many of our residents. Music acts as a way for residents to reminisce on their lives, and they often have a story or two to share about the songs too.
Thank you Lula May, we look forward to seeing you soon
Remembering Ivan's Wales
Last week we celebrated St. David's Day, where we discussed all things Wales, including the life history of some of our residents, including Ivan. Ivan was evacuated from London to Wales during the Second World War.
He was evacuated to 'Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerych
wyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch'
and said the people were so welcoming. Ivan recalls that a young boy had just celebrated a birthday and that when Ivan arrived, the boy insisted he have full use of his new bicycle. Ivan can still recall some Welsh phrases, but we were all impressed by his pronunciation of the town he was sent to!
Thank you for sharing your story Ivan.
Beautiful Bella
You can often find our resident pussycat Bella enjoying the company of the residents, curled up in their rooms or sunning herself in the lounge. Having a furry friend can reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing for older people, so Bella is not just a pretty face.
