Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Enrivoment Changes for Memory Lane
A new lease of life for our Memory Lane!
Skye, Lisa, Vikki and Kavita have been busy this week organising the rooms we have on our Memory Lane. We now have our Music and Television room, Puzzles and Reading in the Living Room and a Sensory Space too!
All of the rooms are designed and focused around the needs of our residents and have rummage boxes, sensory stations and more for our residents to enjoy.
The team agreed that Memory Lane now 'feels more like a home, and residents can really benefit from the spaces and the resources we have for them'.
Well done team
Ladies Pamper Day
Pamper day for our ladies on Memory Lane. Yesterday Skye offered hand massages and nail painting, while Vikki was Maureen's make-up artist! As you can see, the residents were very pleased with the results!
We didn't forget the gents either - as they all had a fresh shave and hair wash too. It's so important that our residents are cared for and pampered - just as they should be!
Caring for the Garden
Our dynamic duo have been at it again! Gardening duo Derek and Barrie have been busy decorating bird and bee houses today for our garden (I may have added the flowers!).
Whilst choosing where to display them, Derek also took to supervising Andy, who has done an amazing job of making our outside areas splendid for Spring. Looks great gents.
Ladies of Leisure!
Enjoying the sun while it lasts, who would have thought it was the middle of May?
This week we have truly made the most of the sun, with lots of our residents enjoying afternoon tea in the garden, flower arranging, planting and more!
Our ladies enjoyed the rays, whilst sharing stories of their lives over a cup of tea.
Happy weekend everyone!
Get Fit and Be Happy
A big thank you to Anya from G-Fitness for our weekly exercise session!
Residents all said they feel much more confident with their exercises now that the sessions happen every week, and that the music and movement makes them feel happy and healthy.
Today we will be relaxing with our weekly chair yoga session and a gander in the garden!
Happy Birthday 'Hazel'
Yesterday we wished Hazel a happy birthday! Thank you to Tamara for baking this beautiful cake - Hazel said "it's beautiful and I have to share it with everyone."
Hazel was also spoilt with flowers, chocolates and more cakes from her family too. Happy birthday Hazel from your Collingtree Park family and friends.
