Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Making New Friends
Today I have been out and about promoting our Open Day to local care homes, pharmacies and surgeries.
Thank you to Danes Camp Surgery, Touchwood Pharmacy, Apollo House, Whitehills, Delepre and King Richard Court for letting me share details of our event with you!
It was great to meet managers, Mandy from Apollo House and Judith and Karen from King Richard Court (photographed in their lovely courtyard). We at Collingtree Park, can't wait to connect in the future!
Well Done 'Nannette'
Carpet bowls champions are back at it again! This weeks winner was Nannette, well done.
Quiz Brings Memories
Yesterday's cake quiz went down very well on Daisy Lane - as well as soaring through the quiz, we also discussed our favourite cakes and birthday memories. All followed by tea and cakes in the afternoon - what a treat!
Daisy Lane Pamper Day
Our lovely ladies have been treated to a pamper morning, with aromatherapy, manicures and hair styling. Pam said "You always make my nails look so nice, it's lovely to have a treat like this". Our hairdresser Bev is also here today taking appointments to make our residents feel extra special.
Rock 'n' Roll with Joe
Last Friday we had the pleasure of being joined by Joe Sterling, for a rock 'n' roll and musical set!
Our residents enjoyed singing along to classics by Buddy Holly, Cliff Richard and Elvis Presley, as well as enjoying musical numbers from Oklahoma, My Fair Lady and many more.
The residents thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon!
Happy Birthday 'Isobel'
Happy birthday to Isobel, who turns 95 today! Isobel was delighted with her chocolate truffles and cakes, which she insists staff and other residents share with her. It wouldn't be a birthday without a #BarchesterCake!
Isobel said "I wasn't expecting this at all, it is so very kind of you to make me a cake, it is so beautiful, thank you". Thank you to our chef Tamara and everyone in the kitchen for making birthdays here so special.
