Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Manicure Mornings
Manicure morning for our Bluebell residents means being pampered and feeling their best. Whether our residents choose to listen to classical music whilst having their nails painted, or putting the world to rights, over a cup of tea - they are all very pleased with the end result!
"Beauty is the promise of happiness" and our residents feel very happy after their beauty treatment.
Enjoying a Stroll
Enjoying some fresh air and admiring our beautiful flowers yesterday. By encouraging our residents to get out into the fresh air, we encourage them to walk and improve their mobility. We support and improve mental health by reducing isolation, building communication opportunities and informal support networks just through having a chat about the wildlife and connecting to and using green spaces.
Walking has so many benefits to our physical health and mental wellbeing - as you can see from the smile of Barbara's face!
What a Fabulous 50's Fete!
We'd like to thank everyone for making our Summer Fete such a success, from the residents to family and friends, and members of the local community that joined us to party the day away. The local independent stalls were full of goodies to buy, and our American diner severed freshly made burgers throughout the event. The hook a duck was a favourite and many people won great prizes on our fairground activities, raffle and tombola!
Thank you for the wonderful performances from 'The Sundaes' and 'Zing Entertainment' who had us all up and jiving the clouds away!
Pony Party at Collingtree Park
What a marvelous morning at Collingtree Park we had today! We had the pleasure of welcoming Lollipop Pony Parties to our care home. Residents loved feeding, petting and getting to know more about the two very well behaved ponies, and shared storied of their own experiences with horses and ponies too.
Thank you to Karen and Sam for fitting us into your busy schedule, our residents can't wait to see you, Moomin and Lolly very soon.
Manicure day!
Our residents love to feel good, and we can help them achieve this with a weekly pamper.
Stretching Out!
A morning of exercise with Anya from G-Ftiness. Our residents enjoyed using the resistance bands and strengthening their arms - well done ladies!
