Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
May Day with Friends
Happy bank holiday from us at Collingtree! We have been spending our morning in the garden, reminiscing about our previous job roles, the places we grew up and the holidays we used to go on, over a cup of tea and of course shared with good company.
Dental Trip Delights
When a trip to the dentist becomes a grand day out!
Eileen has been going to the same dentist for years, so we at Collingtree ensure that this may continue whilst she lives with us. A taxi was booked and off we went. As you can imagine, the appointment wasn't particularly pleasant (a trip to the dentist rarely is), and Eileen felt a bit shook up by it. We decided to get a sweet treat before heading home, so we treated Eileen to coffee and flapjack at the Bean in Stony where staff were very helpful and attentive, particularly in getting us a good seat at a very busy time!
Tom Hosts Carpet Bowls
Thank you to Tom our manager for hosting carpet bowls this week - we told you they were a competitive bunch!
Happy Birthday Terrific 'Tracy'
We would like to wish our lovely Tracy the happiest of birthdays! She's a super carer and a joy to work with. Enjoy your day beautiful lady.
Pamper Day on Daisy Lane
Yesterday was pamper day for our lovely ladies with hair cuts, nail polishes, head and hand massages all round!
Lula May Sings for Jean
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating Jean's birthday as well as being joined by Lula May!
A good song and dance is just what we needed along with a slice of fabulous birthday cake courtesy of Chef topped with Jean's favourite jammy dogger biscuits.
