Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities Coordinator

Martin Tilly-Reed

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park

My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.

Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.

I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here  to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patricks' Day from everyone at Collingtree Park. Residents enjoyed a tipple of Irish cream or traditional stout, with typical Irish snacks such as 'Tayto' crisps and 'Jam Mallows'. We had a real 'craic' together throughout the day, with a good old fashioned song and dance and rounded off with a themed game of bingo and carpet bowls. Chef Jenny presented beautiful boxed cupcakes to wish everyone the luck of the Irish!

Happy Birthday 'John'

Today marks the start of Nutrition and Hydration Week. Here at Collingtree Park, we ensure that all of our residents are hydrated throughout the day as well as enjoy a variety of healthy, balanced meals.

We also ensure that we listen to the needs of residents - like John, who instead of a birthday cake, requested a 'healthier option' for his 88th birthday last week. John said 'The fruit tower was absolutely beautiful, me and my girls couldn't believe it. There was plenty to share with everyone else too".

Happy Birthday 'Derek'

Resident; Derek celebrated his 80th birthday this week and was so pleased with the cake, cards and singing! He's such a happy chap, alway's ready for a chat over a cup of tea and slice of cake.
